How can psychological interventions help?
Psychological interventions can help to prevent problems, and can provide understanding, support, and strategies to work through new and old difficulties. It can be a life-changer.
There are times in our lives when a current situation seems really difficult to manage. Psychological interventions can help identify healthy coping strategies and support implementation. Interventions can also help shift patterns of behaviours or thinking that remains stuck from past experiences by providing a safe and respectful environment to gently explore and intervene.
Liz has trained in a range of treatment modalities and will incorporate strategies and approaches (e.g., in relation to Attachment, Trauma, Systems, Polyvagal, Theraplay, Schema, Cognitive, Behavioural, and Narrative Therapies) as deemed appropriate for the situation, and as agreed to by the client. Sessions may be for an individual or a combined appointment to support relationships.
